The Future of Food and Nutrition

My lovely readers…thank you!

Your sympathy and suggestions about my grading difficulties were incredibly sweet and I appreciated them more than I can say.  The problem with my class has been resolved and not only am I getting the credit, but I didn’t even have to write the paper.  I couldn’t be happier.

I wish that in return I could give you a fabulous recipe, but I can’t.  I’ve been working so much lately on both school and non-school projects that I’ve been eating brown rice with vegetables seven days a week.  Not very exciting and certainly less than you deserve for your support of me and my site.

However, I’m not sending you away empty handed.  I’ve got news, exciting news that I’d like to share with you.  See, one of the projects I’ve been working on is a conference.  It’s a student research conference entitled The Future of Food and Nutrition and it’s happening here at the Tufts Boston campus on March 28th.  Students are invited to send in research and papers or so simply sign up to come and see what others in the field of food, agriculture, or nutrition have been working on.  It’s a great chance to meet and network with the people who will be leaders in the field in a few years.  There’s also a panel discussion.  I don’t want to give all our secrets away at once, (why would you keep reading?) but I’ll tell you all about the speakers in future posts about the conference.

Anyhow, here’s the poster for the conference.  Isn’t it pretty?  I can’t take the full credit for it, Tufts wonderful Director for events and marketing, Mark Krum, did most of the work.  But, as the Shake and Bake commercial says, “I helped!”

  1. Hi Amy! Your blog was advertised on mine, so I thought I’d check it out. I like what you’re doing here.

I read the previous post about the grade issue before I read this one, and I started getting fired up because that would freak me out too. (I’m graduating journalism school in May.) But I was glad to read this one and see that the issue was resolved!

Good luck and keep up the blogging!
